Version 0.4.4

Rune Launcher 0.4.4 introduces local Minecraft server management, global installation progress, and several improvements to game launching and the overall launcher experience.

Highlights

  • Added local Minecraft server creation and management with support for Vanilla, Paper, and Purpur.
  • Added a live server console, file browser, and built-in configuration file editor.
  • Added optional public addresses for locally hosted Minecraft servers.

Improvements

  • Added global installation progress so active downloads remain visible throughout the launcher.
  • Added syntax highlighting for supported server configuration files.
  • Improved the design, navigation, and usability of the new Servers section.
  • Improved server lifecycle management when starting, stopping, and closing Rune Launcher.

Fixes

  • Fixed some Fabric instances failing to launch because of conflicting library versions.
  • Fixed background installation progress not updating consistently across the launcher.

The final preparation release before Rune Launcher enters Open Beta.

  • Completed launcher update checks through Rune's public release service.
  • Added platform-aware selection for Windows MSI, Debian DEB and RPM update packages.

  • Improved Linux application metadata, project website details, software-center presentation and official icon packaging.
  • Improved release and packaging consistency across supported systems.

  • Fixed normal removal of Rune's DEB and RPM packages.
  • Removed the duplicated Configure action from instance options.
